The Power of Mentors
Ramona started her career in operations, marketing and sales at the age of 16. Hand-picked by a national retail corporation, she participated in a mentoring program dedicated to building business know-how.
A member of management with this organization by the age of 21, Ramona developed and oversaw promotional and special events in Southwestern Ontario. In conjunction with this, she was the Corporate Community Liaison, ran the same mentoring program that launched her own career and took a lead role in city events such as North York’s Winterlude, Mel Lastman’s Square opening, the Molson Indy, and Fabulous Flowers; an international event that turned the flagship store into ‘little Holland’. Her community column ran weekly in the Toronto Star and she was the go-to person for new store launches.
Mentoring plays such an incredible role within Ramona’s career path, she in-turn has dedicated 30 years to mentoring youth in business, including as Executive Director of Junior Achievement Guelph-Wellington. Ramona is known for her philosophy ‘people achieve greater success when they foster a collaborative approach to solutions’
